Learning How To Weld

Q: So...  Are we doing something new today?

Jacobo answer: Yes! Today we're going to learn MIG welding.

Q: Ok... What's MIG welding?

Jacobo answer: MIG weld is a process developed in the 1940's, and is considered semi-automated.

Q: What semi-automated means?

Jacobo answer: This means that the welder still requires skill, but the MIG welding machine will continuously keep filling the joint being welded.

Q: Great! Can you show me an example of how it looks when you weld two pieces of metal?

Jacobo answer: Here is one of the metals I welded.

Q: So you just take two random pieces of metal and weld?

Jacobo answer: No! You can take any metal but you have to file the corners that way the piece of metal is smooth and ready to weld.

Q: What about if the metal is Big?

Jacobo answer: Well if the metal is big you can use a Metal Cut-Off Saw that way you can cut the metal and get ready to weld.

Q: What else you need to weld?

Jacobo answer: This is an example of my set up when I'm going to weld.

Q: We're dealing with heat that means you use something to protect you from the heat right?

Jacobo answer: Yes! you're right you need special gloves that will protect you from the heat. Also you're going to use a special mask that will protect your eyes from the light.

Q: From what light? So the light can harm you? It’s just a light.

Jacobo answer: Yes! that light can destroy cells in your eyes that means you can get blinded easily if you don't use the mask.

Q: Alright now I know. But the example you show me before is the only way to weld?

Jacobo answer: No! There's a lot of ways to weld but first you need to learn the basic stuff before trying the other ways to weld metals.

Q: Can you show me like a video to see how you do it?

Jacobo Answer: Yes! Just click this link to watch my viedo in Youtube.

Fixing a Broken Chair

Q: What are we going to do today?

A: Well today I'm going to fix a chair.

Q: What is wrong with this chair?

A: This chair needs the last piece of metal to support the wight of a person and also to support the four legs that way the legs can't move when a person sits in the chair.

Q: What yo you have to do to begin fixing this chair?

A: First we need to know  the length of the part that is broke. So the length is 13 1/4.

Q: But I don't know how to use fractions. How can I learned to use fraction?

A: If you don't know how to use fractions go to my blogs. There's going to be an easy way to show you how to use fractions.

Q: After you measure what you have to do?

A: I sanded the corner of the chair that way they can be clean. Also I use a machine that helped me sanded faster.

Q: Can I see how the machine looks like?

A: This machine is called Media Blaster. and the Media Blaster the machine I used to finish sanding the chair.
